Trust me if there is one place in america where Putin can get any fair criticism, it's Bill Maher's types of shows. The more conservative people are, the worse views people tend to have anything Russian.

I'm not against Maher. Infact, im a fan of his. Its just that some of these guest's legitmacy is questionable. Personally, im pro russia. i think what putin has done a phenomenal job with the country even tho i cannot agree with everything. Kasparov has no proof of some of the things he said.

We will never be 'indepedent from oil'.
Even if we could transport ourselves without gasoline, our economy still uses 5 million barrels of oil per day for other uses, such as lubrication for windfarm windmills.
Idiots like mattedhairwitch are clueless to that fact that whatever the market, the driving force is economics 101: supply and demand.
Any increase in US domestic oil production is an increase in global oil supply which drives down global oil prices.

You are good at debating too and your comments are intelligent. No worries about the spelling :). International human rights is not the end all and be all tho. Amnesty international is for naive kids who think they can change the world when it is rly a scam agency that does nothing. Its more important for us to get our respective country in order b4 worrying about what some other govt does. Just be fortunate where we live in.
