This very pretty song has been done by many singers over the years and some versions are quite good. Judy's take on "I Wish You Love" beats them all as none of the others could match the depth of emotion that she so wonderfully conveyed. Judy truly understood a song lyric and with her marvelous instument made good songs great!

Judy used dynamics like no one else. Note how she releases on "fall" of snowflakes fall.
Typically, she releases on the final note but not here because there is an emotional complexity to what she is conveying. The "fall" is her pain of having to say good bye to her beloved but she has moved on and that is why she ends with such quiet, loving sadness.

I'm so glad Judy did the CBS TV show in 1963-64. It is a great record of her talents for us to have to enjoy forever!
