Yes the L85A2 might be the most accurate rifle and great if you want to win worthless target shooting competitions, but some of us would prefere a rifle that doesn't need constant cleaning & maintenance and can be fired off BOTH shoulders. These are two of the main reasons why SAS/SBS still refuse to use the L85A2. The weapon is still deemed not reliable enough for special forces operations hence that's why they use the Diemaco, M16/4 and H&K rifles over the L85A2.

The L85A2 should be replaced by either the Canadian Diemaco C7 or the new H&K 416 rifle, these 2 rifles are widely regarded as the best 5.56 rifles in the world bar none. Remember SAS/SBS still outright refuse to use the L85A2 and the royal marines openly admit that whilst the L85A2 is now an adequate rifle they would far prefere to be equipped with the Diemaco C7 and that speaks volumes.

mate duno if ur serving or what but i love this weapon, when its time to replace fair enough but for now its just fine, very accurate and a pleasure to use

the sa80 was replaced with the second issue, by all accounts its good now
