Umm and yes cadets will help you, as far as parade goes and maybe color party leadership. And a few other things, i know cadets did help me, alot less getting yelled at for not tucking your thumbs or other things they can pick at and give you shit for. Remember thier goal it to break you and rebuild you... just let it happen dont fight it... dont ask why... just do it. and concentrate on just doing it, not finding a better way to do it, just do it the way they tell you. and it'll be smooth.

We are doing such a good job in afghanastan, you guys read the paper, about what the taliban said, "Canada, get out or it will become much worse!" This obviously shows that they are weakening lol How could it get worse? arnt they trying there best to defeat us now.....? lol stupid taliban

and another thing, keep yourself in the moment. as soon as you start to stare off into space and wonder what your gf is doing at home and wht your family is doing and if your going to make it home... keep yourself in the momment, there.... or else you wont make it home.

In all honesty... if you are an emotional person by any means dont bother... you going to end up fucked in the head when you come back.. Its tuff, alot harder than you think to drop another human. And after you have all the time in the world to think about it. There are far better payin jobs out there. But if you think you want to feel whats its like , then giver... i regret some things i did... I dont cry about it... no use... but i still have a heart.

yeah i know its not going to be easy. it shouldnt be. im just saying, the fact of being in the cadets kind of gives you an idea of what to expect dicipline wise, i was a hardcore for it and stayed in the program till i aged out in 2006 then moved into the office till 2008. now im 21, and signing up for the real deal.
i used to be in biathlon, i know .22 isnt the same as 5.56 but i was a top marksman.
im just going in as an NCO. id like to go ROTP.
and Infantry all the way bro. hooah.

I'm applying for the same, except artillery is my second choice. Also, I'm enrolling in the ROTP. Infantry officer all the way! lol. The cadets won't help you in boot camp. The most successful people in the CF weren't in the cadets. I know a few former cadets that screwed up BMQ. Their confidence was the same as a car in neutral. They couldn't aim for their lives. Even the drill was difficult because it was different than in the cadets. BMQ or BOTC is not going to be easy.

thanks.
applied for Army. Infantry, Armoured and Artillery. as my 1st, 2nd, 3rd choices. i used to be in the cadets for 6years so i'll have no problems with any of the bootcamp really.
