the big bang happened about 14 billion years ago, even if all the matter flying apart was traveling at the speed of light how could the universe be any larger than 28 billion years from end to end?

The Andromeda Galaxy is 2.5 million light years away.

I knew all these thoughts in my mind...But everytime I think again on the size, probability and numbers... I just can't imagine anymore.
Speechless.

The size of the universe has been determined by mathematics, but I agree we cannot be absolutely sure about our facts here. Our 'best estimate' is a better way of putting it. By the way, Andromeda is about 2 million light years away- not 93 million.

the size of the universe isn't 78billion light years. It has never been measured... just gettin to the nearest andromeda'd take 93 million LY

it was destined to happen after they thought they found the 10th planet then said "ah we change our mind on that"

Here's the trick to it:
Don't try to comprehend it,
Comprehend that you can't, and then you will.
