Christmas in Fallujah - Cass Dillon and Billy Joel

Back

A spectacular new protest song that hits the heart strings and brings into perspective the Soldiers plight at this time of year. God Bless them all, I hope this song hits No 1 and stays there a long long time, Hats off to these two for being brave enough to use their talent in a positive way.

Actually, in most parts of the world we don't invade other parts of the world anymore and we still enjoy the freedom to make comments like that. I think it's rather perverse to compare the soldiers dying in Iraq with the ones dying during, say, the first or second world wars. Dying in defence of your country is one thing, dying so the big oil companies of your country can get their hands on more oil is senseless.

The fact that you call someone you disagree with a moron is very weak, really.

How about we at least agree to support the poor bastards dying over there as much as we can, regardless of our views of the politics of the whole mess? It's not their fault, and they're our soldiers, which at least should earn them some respect. The best we can do is support them and get our government to get off its ass and fix the mess.

I'd like to see you tell that same statement to one of the soldiers who just got back from there they would fuck u up u hippie fuck

I'm sure those soldiers just love the fact that they're being exploited.

Only a weak, mindless, incompetent follower would react the way you just did. Democracies can only thrive if there is room for criticism. To quell that criticism is to kill democracy, which is unfortunately what a number of US polticians, and their lackeys (people like you) have been trying to do for years now. It was precisely this attitude that allowed people like Hitler and Stalin to carry out their attrocities.

ya i didn't say he couldn't say it i was criticizing his point, and by the way these soldiers volunteered and they were trained to fight and kill that's they're job, some can't wait for the day they can kill someone in combat. i say we forget the politics and just agree to support them, oh and don't call me a lackey that hurts my feelings! haha

Support them because they just want to kill and forget the reason they're supposed to be fighting that war? That's the dumbest I ever heard...

are u french? if you are then that's why you don't understand because you don't know any one over there fighting over there, there are guys from my tiny town that have been wounded and permanently handicapped in combat. so maybe that's why i am not so quick to abandon them and blame them for everything.

Forget the politics of the song. The song sucks in general. From the genious who brought us "the Piano Man", "uptown girl" etc, the lyrics, and song, are terrible.
