Clark would have been the best President this country has ever seen... look at the best the repugs came up with, when they stole 04 from the American people... an idiot who has run this country into the ground....
Mcpain will surely follow suit...

Clark is a self-serving megalomanic. Obama was smart to distance himself from this creep.

Barack Obama is more ready to be president than Barack Obama? I agree.

Maybe General Clark thinks he would be more effective in another capacity.... perhaps Secretary of State, or Secretary of Defense, etc.

Also, Fox Crap would have been spouting their propaganda everywhere if Clark was chosen. Biden was a good choice, shores up the ticket with experience. It would be nice to see Clark get something though.

Neither are perfect.
Biden can't stop saying what he thinks and Clark doesn't know how to be a politician.

Great comment.
Clark would have been a great choice for VP. I am so unbelievably impressed by Clark and his inability to "politick"...it's truly refreshing.
Guess that's what comes with his experience and background...
I wonder what would happen if we started picking the candidates based on merit & ability rather than on all the window dressing? I wonder what would become of national security, the economy and to our personal freedoms?

It's not like McCain picked his VP because she looks......holy crap!
jacksquat70 (September 17, 2008 at 6:48 pm)
No doubt...to an extent, she was a great choice. No one knows anything about her...she's this likeable little cheerleader, etc. But when the newness wears off and people start realizing she's an empty "dress suit" then they'll realize the short sightedness of that choice.
Again, there's no merit to Palin...just strategy and if I were a high ranking democrat (potentialy VP candidate), I'd be very pissed.

You'd think with all the Neocons, AIPAC and Israel's running of American foreign policy they would have somehow made the Iraq war pay for itself, even profit from it.
Failure in this way is part of the reason of American's questioning the war, finally.
Poor Neocons,...they planned the invasion of the Middle East since the early 90's.
Failure was the result and failure too of conquering the rest of Israel's enemies.
