Funnyday: Stupid story, and totally made up. A french customs officer wouldn't understand that much english. And would never use "monsieur" while talking english (that happens only in Hollywood movies and novels written in english). And the US didn't come in 44 in order "to liberate" this country.(...)

And if there weren't frenchmen maybe it's because they were civilian families caught in crossfire and under bombs who died by the thousands and deserve a little more respect than having unfair stories made up about them 60 years later to make a whole nation look bad. Btw, 80% of Nazi soldiers who died in WW2 were killed by russian soldiers on the eastern front, where most of the action was. In 40, Hitler-Stalin pact, no eastern front. Whole of nazi army on western front. Got that?
