Yes, the US pilots did great jobs during Korean War.But becareful here,we still don't know to which extent did the soviet pilots involve in the Korean War,the high killing ratio of USAF counts the total number not just those piloted by Soviets. It is not true that most of communist pilots are russians. By the way, the three top aces of the Korean War are all soviets.

i would bet they played a large extent because the koreans were poorly trained and for them to even put up resistance to the americans they would need a lot of soviet support. i watched a show where a former korean fighter pilot said the russians barely told them how to take off and land the jets let alone use it in combat.
