Did anyone apart from me feel that NGE is more than a TV series???
It has absolutely EVERYTHING: a really good plot, the deepest characters I've ever seen, an epic and dramatic connotation and a beautiful travel through psychology and philosophy
I think everyone should see it at least once, in order to understand better human mind and, why not, to have a very good time
Please answer and tell me what you think. Thanks ;)

Hi, when I saw NGE for fist time my fellings were similar to those you are describing in yor post. But, a few time after that, I realiced that the mensage in the NGE was completly existencialist:we are alone in the world and need to give the life a sense for ourselves. Personaly I am not agree with the existencialism, may be, because of my religious pinciples.
This is only my opinion and i desire that you explain me yours (sorry for the redaction but i`m not originally english speaker)

Sinceramente soy una de esas personas cuyas creencias religiosas son nulas, los seres humanos estamos en este mundo y nos vemos obligados a convivir sin ayuda de NADIE.
Sin embargo, no creo que se deba usar la serie para orientarse espiritual o filosóficamente porque su mensaje es terriblemente desesperanzador. Por lo tanto que yo crea que a los seres humanos no nos proteja un Dios no quiere decir que estemos solos, quiere decir que debemos apoyarnos entre nosotros.

No, the message is there, and one worth heeding at that, it all depends on wether or not you are someone for whom it bears any meaning for, as there was a targeted audience when it came to Eva.

There's no reason why existentialism and religion can't coincide, your just thinking of the wrong philosophies.

And Eva was more than you described, it stated that by just BEING ALIVE, you bring meaning to yourself, as well as others, and that there is far more value to live in a harsh reality than an ideal fantasy.
