According to an American programme screened on Military channel, the Typhoon is the MOST ADVANCED fighter out there today. Placed ahead of the F-22. The guy who compared them only had 30 years experience. Porbably doesnt mean much though.

"It's an "old school" layout."
That's one way of describing it, and I guess the same description also applies to the cockpit of the 787 with it's control yokes ? or the lack of a HUD in the F-35's cockpit ?. ;)

"Let's put it this way: there are no advatages to haveing a center stick."
Well clearly the designers must have considered that there were some advantages, as either type could have been used, but a centre stick layout was chosen.
The feedback from pilots that were consulted during the Typhoon's development was also overwhelmingly in favour of a centre stick, which played a large part in the layout being adopted.
Still, I expect you probably know better em745aa. (rolleyes)

-"That's an amazing aircraft you Europeans are flying there! That aircraft is just as good as our F-22 Raptors."
Well, I half agree with you there. :)
