OK... so which one was the Paramedic and which was the EMT? They're both wearing the same uniform... no distinguishing factors to say "who is who"

Yea I know what your talkin about. You guys over there are all classified as Paramedics but with different levels of training. It's the opposite over here. All of our people are considered EMT's, going from First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic. Its the same system, cept you guys get to be called paramedics from the start... lucky ducks.

you are paying for the studies ? In Poland dialy college is for free and its easy to get, if u choose the studies on medcial academy u dont have to pay tho or if u wanna go 3 days in two weeks u have to pay.

In Norway, there's no charge for becoming an EMT IF you start the college when you're in title of it. But if you choose to go later as an adult, it costs A WHOLE BUNCH. Here it's first two years of college, then two years as a trainee = $ 39 500,- And after a year, there's 2,5 years in the university to become a Paramedic. If you're in the right station, they will pay it for you.

I think its more here in Canada. The EMR course I took (EMT-B equivalent) was almost $1500 itself. PCP (Primary care paramedic) is around 4000-5000 and i don't even want to know what ACP (Advanced care) is

advanced care paramedic = ~ $7000 so pretty much altogether you're looking at about 13k in debt
