9/11 First Responders Benefit - Cynthia McKinney

Back

Cynthia McKinney, Green Party Presidential candidate, talks at a benefit for 9/11 First Responders.

A disproportionate number of First Responders are ill as a result of the toxic conditions at the 9/11 site. The Gov't does not acknowledge the toxic conditions nor is it offering significant support to the First Responders or their survivors.

One key to changing that is a House Bill HR 3543 providing such resources. Cynthia McKinney supports such legislation and would go beyond that.

I am under the Green party, but I never wanted to vote till now, I thought the Green Party was all about weed when I was younger, but I am learning more, and I like it, Don't know much about this lady, I liked Ron Paul, but for sure no McCain or Obama.

Green Change has the email addresses for Commission on Presidential Debates board members, who are disregarding the popular will by refusing to open the debates to ballot-qualified candidates like Cynthia McKinney and Nader. Go to GreenChangeDotOrg and tell the CPD that you want open, democratic debates now.

She's an alien, it's pretty obvious, look at her head. Crazy idealistic bitch!

Humans can be idealistic although what she talks about is quite realistic. If only aliens care about the first responders and their health then we've lost this planet for sure.

Big ideals and lofty notions are meaningless when no pragmatic plan exists to carry them through. This speech is not a "right" speech or a "left" speech. It falls nowhere and flat, with only for a room-full (and net-full) of blind followers who like flowery commentary from unproven, unintelligent characters who love the sound of their own voice.

This speech pointless - in the MOST LITERAL sense of the word.

Calling for an investigation, which includes REAL scientific investigation as well as REAL subpoena powers with legal power and consequences if avoided, is about as pointed as one can get.

The even above was also about supporting an already introduced House Bill to aid the First Responders.

All are real ACTIONS people can take. Earlier that day McKinney spoke at a press conference supporting a NYC ballot initiative (NYC has Legal I&R through its City Charter) for a NYC 911 investigation.
