From the DVD "Willie Nelson and Friends - Live & Kickin", it was Willie Nelson's 70th birthday party at New York City's famed Beacon Theatre on April 9, 2003. Leon and Willie take a verse, of this Leon Russell original, and let Ray finish it up, as only Ray (one-take) could. He died not long after this. Thanks Ray.

I have always loved this Leon Russel song, but
this is the most touching beautiful heart wrenching version I've seen.

Ray may have been blind in eye sight..but made up for it in heart sight.All a person really has to do is listen to the emotions as he sings this song..to know he Lived the song..not just sang it.A very blessed singer who shared his gift with all of us.He will be a singer whos legend will live on in our kids and grandkids music.And he now sings with the Angels.

Amen to your words. You know, I often wonder after hearing or seeing such talented people that have what we consider "a handicap", take Ray Charles for example. Perhaps if he was never blind and could see all the hate and misery that we have to see on this planet. I wonder how that would've affected his music? Dont mind me, i'm just rambling.

OMG it breaks my heart to see Willie cry, Ray is holding it in, but you can hear the emotion in his voice.. raw emotion... so touching! made me cry...
