nah man they need most of that runway to take off because it must be a short runway. The pilot cannot just simply lift off cause hes scared/is running short on runway. If he doesnt build enough speed he wont be able to lift off and seeing how short that runway is thats why he had to use the entire runway

I've been in 747 the max speed by the monitor when i was travelling to Munich was 945 km/h The sonic boom occurs when you pass the speed of sound which is at 1228km/h not 2 mach.

Overstressing would most likely tear the aircraft in two before reaching Mach 2.

sonic booms occure at almost mac 2.

That plane almost went out of the run way. Fucking insane pilots!!!

No, there is no way. 747s are not designed to pass the sound barrier, and trust me, it would need to be going much, MUCH faster.

was thata sonic boom just at 0.37?

SUPER COOL
SgtRaaaa (November 17, 2008 at 2:19 pm)
not alot..... they do bounce around a fair bit..... thats why if a plane exceeds its flight hours it gets dismantled

Thank you. I supposed that every airplane's wings flex upwards, but with a big plane as this you probably see it better because the wings are so long. Anyway, love flying although I don't know about all the forces that are at work here :)
