I think what you are saying is not to glorify war because war is hell. When you lie dying on the battlefield there is no patriotic music playing in the background...there's just a bunch of your friends standing over you not knowing what do and trying not to cry.

I was sent to Iraq in 2004 with the 31st MEU out of Okinawa and I CAN tell you what its like 2 see your friends die.I can tell you that the Marines,Grunts,Squids & Airedales are not there for oil or 2 rule Iraq. Contrary to what people think of our government and their reasons, we joined and went there 2 fight terrorism & prevent what happened on 9-11 2 ever happen again. We deserve the respect of being unselfish, regardless of whether you think our government is doing it for oil. We aren't.
