I'm surprised to see leopards in that part of the world. We have Siberian tigers at the Calgary Zoo. I know there are people who live around Vladivostok who look after the tigers but I think not as many people know about the leopards (except the poachers). I would like to see an Amur leopard in our zoo. I think they would have a better chance there.

No, the andes are rocky, a snow leopard would be good probably, but since snow/amur leopards live in the northern hemisphere, the breeding time in spring would be right before a cold winter there as opposed to where they usually live, but good idea!

Humans sense their own fictitious nature and thus seek to reduce everything down to nothing. Just read the papers, watch the news, they're perfectly okay with killing each other, so pushing beautiful creatures like the amur leopard into extinction is just another day at the office.

So beautiful. What the poachers have done, which is drive them to extinction, is despicable. Equally despicable is the governments refusing to punish poachers or protect the animals better.
