I lived in Russia for the early part of my life, and now live in the US, and all your points can EASILY be applied here as well. I love the USA but you're a hypocrite if you don't think pretty much every one of those points doesn't apply to the US. Just being honest.

These guys are serious soldiers. Google hill 776 and see what they can do. A 100 man para company fought 1000+ Chechens + arab and turks for 4 days at the end of which only 6 paras were left alive. But because they held their positions the main force inflicted a heavy defeat on the enemy.

national service and Russia did not called any reserves. And to your comment about me going to my motherland..You are old enough to now that Lithuania is the part of EU and I live and pay my taxes same as you and if the WW3 would ever start I believe we would be on the same side of barricades.

You missing the point to juggernautsfury comment on starting WW3, because if it will going to happen it will be common men who will be fighting in streets and houses and you are right about sheer numbers but dont forget that these sheer numbers done 2-3 years of national service and been trained for situations like these and Americans havent . And about Chechnya, it was gorillas war and not a WW3 and the only solders fighting on Russian side was 18+ kids that where enrolled in
