Is Antibalas only white guys? I thought they had quite a mix. So if they did popularize it which members skin color to we attribute their success to?

thats kinda of an insult they never would accept him in the past because he talked down to the government and for you to say that in a way your tainting his image. Every technique they play with is from Fela and on top of that Felas music was better than these guys...by the way no hard feeling listen to Seun Kuti hes rocks it harder

the guys in antibalas are young, extremely talented and marketable. if they popularize afrobeat music it is for those reasons. and if more pple listen to fela kuti because of that, then who cares? at least pple are listening to good music and those artists are getting recognition. look PAST SKIN COLOR.

rxqueen mmmmm extremely talented an MARKETABLE mmmm I wonder what makes them marketable that could not also make other extremely talented afrobeat musicans maketable Dede mabiakw , Dele sosimi alariwo , kola ogunkoya . could it be becouse they are black or could it be becouse they are African these musicians are extremely talented but not marketable and antibalas is also extremely talented but marketable the only broblem is that the one that is maketable just happens to be white

they're marketable because they're diverse, and most of them are American (the lead singer by the way is a nigerian man). do your research and stop hatin'

one of the greatest night of my life!!!! the middle of the woods with good friends afro-beat music on mushrooms in the rain! wow.. soo good! Hope i get to see them again. Also if anyone likes afro-beat check out these guys, Mr. Something Something from Toronto!

you need to de-segregate music. it's not whether it's black or white, but who can play it well. mc hammer didn't invent rap, new edition didn't invent pop and 2pac sure as hell didn't come up with rap. (debbie harry was one of the first actually). and the only "white music" i can think of would be classical, which is played mostly by asian people. so, you're wrong AGAIN.
