You just feel embarrassed because you thought it was a religious thing.

So my question is, why should they "put back" into society and more than any other band in any other form of music? Surely not just because it 'sounds religiousy'.

That would be unfair, making them conform to your mistaken expectations, after you'd realised you were mistaken...

I dont like it...this seems like something that wouldve been if Mark Knopfler had yawned through the entire recording of Brothers in Arms.

Because religion does so? May I ask where the money for the Sct Peters Church came from?
Not to speak of other musicians. Gregorian is a band like so many others. Do you "demand" the same from them?

And before you ask, "Gregorian chants" is a form of music just like other´s (Pop, rock, metal comes to mind), not necessarily religious - it has just been used by religion.

Religion sometimes doesnt do much for mankind.
Gregorian chant originated in Monastic life,
Monastic life is religion. It came from religion.
Brothers in arms is meant for soldiers.

The group are just a money making bunch of hypercrites if they do nothing for what the song and how it is sung is meant to be.

Just like some of the rest of society.
