Some 'close up' photos of the famous Apache AH-64D or AH MK1 'Longbow' attack helicopter..

The AH-64D / AH MK1 Longbow Apache is a remanufactured and upgraded version of the AH-64A Apache attack helicopter. The primary modifications to the Apache are the addition of a millimeter-wave Fire Control Radar (FCR) target acquisition system, the fire-and-forget Longbow Hellfire air-to-ground missile, updated T700-GE-701C engines, and a fully-integrated cockpit. In addition, the aircraft receives improved survivability, communications, and navigation capabilities. Most existing capabilities of the AH-64A Apache are retained.

It conducts rear, close, and shaping missions including deep precision strike. Conducts distributed operations, precision strikes against relocatable targets, and provides armed reconnaissance when required in day, night, obscured battlefield and adverse weather conditions.


All photos taken by me at the Colchester Military Festival 2006. Sadly I no longer have the ability to mail the pictures to anybody, as my cd-rom with the pcs on got ruined.. :(

I don't know who you meant to correct, but it ended up in MY inbox, hense my reply.. sorry again! :) I have to have the comments on 'approval' as I have had some REALLY STUPID comments on this video, and I'm not for censoring, but for the benefit of all, sometimes it's needed.. :)

Thanks John.. It's a selection of over 200 photos I took a couple of years ago! I was hoping to make the ultimate Apache video this sumer, using the new camera for some High Quality footage.. Alas the show wasn't on!! :(
