The US military needs to get out of the middle east. they have no business being there. This war is completely pointless. Saddam was not a terrorist, our own government executed the 9-11 WTC attacks. The fighting will never end as long as we are trying to take over a free sovereign people.

the m1 is a tank, very well armored, very well built, and yes, does carry a 120mm cannon, but the AC-130's 105mm is an autocannon, an m1 has a firing rate of what, 15-20 rounds per minute? the 105mm on the Ac's have a good 120, id rather be firing that

AC-130 has a 105 howitzer. Not at autocannon. AC-130s were equipped, and still are to an extent, with Bofors 40mm as well. Those are the largest caliber guns on the 130 that could be considered an autocannon.

The only gun over 100mm with a rate of fire that could even remotely be considered "Auto-fire" is the 130mm guns used by the Russian navy. They have about a 40 rounds per minute ROF, and since there are two of these in each turret, that equates to 80 RPM from the turret.
