`violent-inciting`well inciting violence perhaps.(i haven`t studied the quran)..but the bible is full of disgusting versus (i was a catholic for 25 years) to name a few;
On woman; "Your desire will be for your husband and he will rule over you." On slaves; "the slaves shall come from the nations around you from them you may buy slaves" on children; "if anyone curses there mother or father they must be put to death" on worth of woman;

"And from five years old untill 20 years old, then the estimate shall be for male 20 shekels, and for the female 10 shekels."

`God`is giving the price!! of people and clearly shows woman are worth less then men. And this is just the start of the terrible statements in the bible. So i don`t see any LOVE in that.

She never said other religions are perfect. Our criticism of Islam is relative. It happens to be the most severe and egregious of religions, in terms of incendiary trends.

How often do you find Christians preaching the acquisition of slaves, or putting a price on their heads? See, those are not issues that are pertinent in 2008; Islamic fundamentalist violence is! Islamic extremists, all over the world-preach the annihilation of the "Infidels." Therein lies the difference between the religions

Islam is incompatible with democracy and human rights. Evidence is the current state of the middle-east. Turkey is the ONLY relatively-democratic government in the region! If you don't make a connection between Islam and it's inherent incompatibility, then you need history lessons.

We're not saying that all other religions are fine; our criticism is in light of the turmoil violence in Islamic nations.other religions have ridiculous passages and throwback verses; but Islam takes the prize!

To the contrary; The reason Islam is behind in social equality and stability is the same reason men where in power in the West untill recently. Just 2 centuries ago woman didn`t have almost any rights in any Western Nations. They where allowed to vote only for the first time in 1838 on the British Col. of the Pitcairn Islands. They had a population of just 46 women. The first country to ever grant women the right to vote was New Zealand in 1893. And 1919 in the USA. Equality for..;

for; the black community even later. The disgusting situations of anti-Black Violence just as the disgusting violence that remains in some muslim nations against woman. The more power woman achieve in muslim communities the more that starts to change. It is the countries where woman don`t have a voice that men become oppressive. Some use the quran to justify this but it Mostly comes from Culture e.g.; female mutilation! We see bible gay-violence even today.

Yes, surely other religions have oppressive dogmas; however, the current state of affairs reflect the violence in the Islamic world far exceeding that committed in the name of other faiths. Most terrorists, including 100% of the 911 perpetrators are Islamists. That's a fact that necessitates the need for conducting a moral inventory of the Qur'an. We have to expose the incendiary verses contain within it, in order to connect the dots.

It would be naive to assume that all religions are the same

Ayaan does not hate Islam; Islam hates her. It hated her when it wanted her controlled, confined, subjugated and manipulated (as a woman).
