Keven Dagit, just a few hours before he was murdered in iraq.
20sept05, just hours before, Keven Dagit was killed in an ambush north of Balad. The man you see in the middle saying, "Must be a new camera" is Keven Dagit. The video was shot in the am hours. The ambush took place just past noon.(see) Preston Wheeler video for what really happened that day and not the coverup. Virginia Natioanl Gaurd unit 1173rd under the 507th was the convoy gaurd. The 1173rd lead these trucks down a dead end road then left them there to die.
Keven Dagit and the other drivers became 'Prisoners of War'. You now get to see the FACE of one of the unarmed Americans killed, (murdered), that day. The 507th investigated this ambush. The 1173rd is a division of the 507th.
Keven Dagit died a HERO to us. Keven Dagit did as he was to do. Mr. Dagit stayed in his truck and waited for support from the gaurd unit to rescue him. 45 min later when the rescue team responded all they found of Mr. Dagit was a burnt out truck and ashes of Keven.
Keven Dagit love working with the military in Iraq. Mr. Dagit was at one time in the Navy and Loved this country dearly. Keven left behind two (2) daughters, his mother Gloria, father Lloyd, sister Teresa of Jefferson Iowa. Keven also left behind two (2) brothers Randy and Brian in Arkansas.
Keven Dagit served this country as a KBR driver hauling flatbed materials through out Iraq. If this wasn't enough to hear that your son, brother was murdered. I found out that not only Kevens hootch was raided and things stolen when other KBR persons and certain military found out he was killed. Keven had a LOT of stuff that NEVER made it back. Sascha Grenner Case had alot of stuff that NEVER came back to Karen his wife eather. Keven had a friend that went to his hootch after the ambush and found (3) guys in there from KBR and the gaurd. The lock had been cut off and they where stealing things from Kevens room. Ronny was able to stop them at that time. When he returned with security, the room had been gone through again. Karen Grenner-Case never recieved Saschas laptop, cameria, passport, footlockers,etc.
Saschas room was ripped off too. There is more to see and to hear of this ambush on youtube. Thank you and Gods speed to our Military and to our Country.
Do's our government coverup such things? Look at the coverup that they did to Mr. Pat Tillman. Do Not Ever Foreget Mr. Pat Tillman an American Hero. This ambush is as much a coverup as Mr. Tillmans murder. Look at Jessicas coverup too. Will Dagit family, Grenner-Case family or The Lem family ever have their day or these Unarmed Americans have their day?
Will these 1173rd National Gaurdsman ever face chargers?

Keven lived in Cedar Rapids for years too. He lived in marion for awhile then moved out to the west side to a trailer park. Kevens parents live in Jefferson. They have one of his pictures posted at the capitol building in Des Moines.

Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley sent a letter to the secretary of the Army asking for answers about the deaths. In a statement Grassley, said: "I was appalled to hear that some soldiers may have abandoned a convoy of private contractor trucks that those soldiers were supposed to be protecting. I have already contacted the Army to get to the bottom of this. The families of the murdered contractors deserve honest answers."
The Army told us to mind our own _od damn buisness. cover-up

I was a member of the Outkast Express convoy team. These people had been offered assistance by our C.O and laughed him out of the room. the next day, or two days later, they most certainl DID take a wrong turn, making a right where they should have made a left, and they got those people killed. Shortly after, two members of their unit were out on a ission with us- in my humvee- learning the route, radio procedures, and mission specifics properly.
Pride and arrogance killed those guys. Period

Third, most drivers are now TCNs who will risk life and limb for a lot less cash...and No one but the Phillipine president seems too concerned for their voluntary plight. (They have it alot easier these days than your brothers' people did anyway.)
It is obvious that Mr. Preston had lost ability to transmit even to other KBR drivers in the video. Maybe alot would have changed, but for a cheap motorola radio.

KBR and military use different radios. Military has KBR radios, but as with mine they often didn't work well or at all. They were cheap Motorolas and they didn't receive well inside an armored HMMWV. Since then three steps have been taken to remedy the situation. First, single soldiers were assigned to ride with KBR drivers. A bunch died in the un-armored trucks. That was stopped. Second, a comm system was emplaced that operates better than the Motorolas.

The whole convoy was indangered when they left the gate following the 1173rd. This was the 1st time the 1173rd went out of the wire.
1173rd was told to go on convoys before to learn the route, THEY REFUSED. They,(the 1173rd) are responsibile for these deaths.
The videos show the WHOLE truth. This ambush is nothing more then a coverup by the V.A. national gaurd and the 507th.
