TornadoVideos.net storm chasers Reed Timmer and Dave Holder captured this huge, violent wedge tornado in southwest Manitoba on June 23, 2007. Question: Are the winds during a tornado really that localized as it appears? I see all these videos with these dudes like 1/4 mile or less (it appears) from these storms. I know video is hard to put an actually distance to an object (2 dimentional) so like for instance during 1:22, isnt that like only a few hundred yards away? and if so arent the winds just really fucking intense, or like ?'d are they really localized...???
