leupold is the best scope on the market, imo.
will never own anything else.

less moveing parts=less chance of jam/failuer.
more acurate, fixed parts=more soild shot. a semi can jam and the moving action can change
the bullets flight even if its less then a fraction.

Brutal! The bullet looks like a tank shell. But someone please explain to me why snipers and sniper rifle designers, INSIST on bolt-action, single shot rather than semi-automatic? What if they have to take out multiple targets in quick succession? Do they believe it somehow makes them more "elite" to use an antiquated feeding system? By that same illogic, then, they should use muzzle-loaders! Here we have a state-of-the art, early 21st cen. weapon and ammo with a late 19th cen. feeding system.

Bolt action rifles are more accurate. In a semi auto or full auto rifle, there are more moving parts, which makes it harder to stay on a particular target area. Some rifles have built in recoil 'deflectors' but its still considered easier to use bolt action

bolt action is obsolete. The accuracy difference is negligible. And being able to provide immediate follow up shots is far more important.

a bolt action rifle can be almost as fast as a semi, or auto, and most .50 cal rifles are semi auto, though the barrett is a anti-material rifle, meaning it is ment to shoot through armor or take down vehicles... look up the chey tac rifle for the most accurate long range rifle....

no conventional sniper round, 308, 300 mag, 338 lapua etc can compare to the long range performance of this 416 even the mighty 50bmg which holds the current sniper record, held by a canadian can compare

police sharpshooters usually aim at the head, to get an instant kill... army snipers have less accurate rifles, to grant the weapon more durability, so they aim at the chest or belly...

compare police sniper shooting to military, military snipers sucessfully shoot at considerably longer ranges than police, no comparison.

The army doesnt uses "less accurate" sniper rifles. thats just stupid to say.

Most police sharpshooter engagements are in very close proximity with most max engagements of only 300m.

Military snipers can engage in distances of 300m to over 2500m.

Your using the term "sniper" too liberally to. A scope on a weapon doesnt make the soldier a sniper.

Most soldiers with scoped m21's or M16a4's arent snipers but designated marksman.
